Project Description: Samaritan's Purse is partnering with local communities to improve the quality of life in the highland (Altiplano) region of Bolivia.  Wells are constructed each year to improve the health and wellbeing of the beneficiaries who receive them.  Volunteers will assit in digging, placing rings, and pouring concrete for the wells.  Volunteers will also have the opportunity to share the Gospel through personal interactions with the local community.

Background:  The quality of life of the majority of the Bolivian Atliplano inhabitants is poor.  Many suffer from malnutrition, health problems, hunger, thirst, etc. One of the major problems of the Altiplano region is a lack of available water during certain months of the year.  This can become a struggle for the local families.  Sometimes, out of desperation, people drink unclean water because they lack other alternatives.  This becomes problematic as many of the people get parasites, amebas, bacteria and other illnesses.

Samaritan's Purse has previously worked in the Atlipano region building churches for the local communities.
