Haiti Volunteer Update
Samaritan’s Purse currently has a team on the ground in Haiti providing clean water, shelter, medical care, and assisting with other emergency needs in the aftermath of last week’s devastating earthquake. The primary need is for trained disaster workers and we are not sending volunteers at this time.
When the initial emergency relief stage is over, we anticipate beginning a rebuilding phase. We will evaluate our need for volunteers at that time.
VOLUNTEER FOR HAITI
Anyone interested in volunteering (non-medical personnel) when we start our rebuilding work can submit their information by clicking the button to the right and filling out the form. We will send out an e-mail when we are ready to accept applications. In the meantime, prospective volunteers can make sure their passport and shot records are up to date.
MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS
We have had such an overwhelming response from medical professionals, that we are no longer asking for medical volunteers and are requesting that no further applications be sent in to serve. If you have already submitted your name, please be patient and we will get back to you.
VOLUNTEER FOR OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
For the most up-to-date information about other volunteer opportunities, please click here. If you find an area that you are interested in volunteering in please complete the "Individual Volunteer and Team Registration" form by clicking the "Learn More" button under the middle column labeled "Getting Started." Once you have completed the form someone will contact you to confirm your volunteer time and location. We do not require that our volunteers undergo any special training before they serve. We have several opportunities listed both in the United States and internationally.
